Restoration of 1 fireplace in Highbury – Islington

Mid Victorian 4 Storey Town House.  1^st Floor Fireplace in need of restoration.

Victorian Statuary marble chimneypiece with a later added tiled panel, hearth and original Carrara marble curb.  The panel was to be replaced by a cast iron arched insert.  The chimneypiece had movement and was badly stained.

The fireplace was removed, the tiled interior was disposed of.  The marble was fully restored including cleaning, polishing and re-boxing together.  A cast iron arched insert was supplied along with a template slate hearth, then fitted.
